ATS NSW, led by committee member Brad Boardman, organised a very successful NSW ATS Charity Golf Day at the Ryde Parramatta Gold Course on the 8th November.  Following the event, ATS NSW were able to donate over $14,000 to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

The ATS committee would like to thank all who contributed to making the day such a great event – an excellent example of the NSW tunnelling community coming together for a good cause and to remember one of our own.  With more than 110 players it was an outstanding display of support in honour of Peter Watson, particularly given the level of work currently on in Sydney. We thank all companies for allowing all participants to attend. The attached photo shows Brad Boardman presenting the cheque with from left Nigel Casey (ATS NSW chairperson), Lila Elias (Garvan Institute) and Peter Watson’s family Michelle, Jake, Sarah and Margaret.

Gatherings such as these would not be possible without the support of Company Sponsorship, so a big thanks goes out to all those companies who provided hole sponsorships.

Special thanks must go to Promat for their Prize sponsorship and also for donating the Peter Watson Trophy. Thanks also to the Vemeer Group as the Pre-match sponsors, Bluey for the drinks cart sponsorship, Hilti (in addition to their hole sponsorship) kindly donated 4 drills for prizes, and finally thanks to the Ryde Parramatta Golf course (Erin and Glen) for hosting a great event.

Congratulations to the NorthConnex team as the first champions of the Peter Watson Trophy.
