The Australian Shotcrete Society comprises industry professionals focused on the ongoing development and promotion of Shotcrete as a construction material. A key activity of the society is the provision of guidance to designers and practitioners on current and effective best practice.

The New Zealand Tunnelling Society (NZTS) aims to promote the New Zealand tunnelling industry through good practice in design, construction and the utilisation of underground space.  We are committed to workplace health & safety and environmentally & economically sustainable, underground development.

Founded in 1974 by the initiative of nineteen Nations, the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) which aims are:

  • to encourage the use of the subsurface for the benefit of public, environment and sustainable development and
  • to promote advances in planning, design, construction, maintenance and safety of tunnels and underground space, by bringing together information thereon and by studying questions related thereto.

Since 2005, the ACG has published highly technical conference papers across the geotechnical mining spectrum, including: underground and open pit mining, paste and thickened tailings and mine closure and this repository aims to provide the mining geomechanics fraternity with open access to these peer-reviewed conference papers that may assist readers to maintain and develop their skills, knowledge and capabilities.
